Equipped with a single NVMe M.2 2280 SSD slot, the D1 SSD supports up to 8TB in a compact and portable form factor. Depending on your choice of SSD, read and write speeds can reach up to 3853 and 3707 MB/s, respectively, which is fast enough for 8K raw and 4K video in slow motion as well as ProRes and other demanding codecs, plus high-resolution photos in both raw and compressed formats.
The D1 SSD features a 40 Gb/s USB4 port that is compatible with Thunderbolt 5, making it easy it use with Macs, PCs, and even compatible mobile devices. A fanless passive cooling design and aluminum alloy chassis provides efficient heat dissipation and stable temperatures to preserve performance and lifespan.
Note that no M.2 drive is included with this enclosure. You have to supply a separately purchased drive.
