TerraMaster D4 Overview

The D4 SSD 4-Bay M.2 USB4 Enclosure from TerraMaster is an expansive storage solution designed to assist in video production and content creation. Equipped with four PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 drive bays, the D4 SSD delivers data transfer up to 3257 MB/s and write speeds up to 3192 MB/s when configured in RAID 0. It connects to your Windows or macOS computer using a 40 Gb/s USB4 port that is compatible with Thunderbolt 3, 4, and 5 interfaces. Please note that the D4 SSD may not be configured as a RAID without the use of third-party software.

Its compact and lightweight design makes it easily portable, and the innovative active-cooling design and low-noise active fan ensures low temperatures and minimal noise even under full load. When in standby mode, noise levels stay below 19 dBA to not disturb you or any others in your working environment. With a voltage range of 12-20V, the D4 SSD is compatible with most standard power adapters for other devices, alleviating the need to carry an additional adapter.

Smart Cooling
Equipped with an intelligent temperature-controlled fan system, the D4 SSD delivers efficient cooling while maintaining ultra-quiet operation, extending the lifespan of both the device and the hard drives. Four internal temperature sensors maintain optimal drive temperatures through precise thermal monitoring and adaptive fan speed adjustment.
Safety
To ensure the safety of the device and hard drives, the D4 SSD incorporates an advanced power protection design. In the event a user incorrectly connects an incompatible power source, the device will immediately activate a built-in protection mechanism, effectively preventing damage to the device and hard drives from excessive currents or unstable voltages. This considerate design offers added peace of mind when using the D4 SSD, eliminating any concerns about potential losses due to power-related issues.
TPC Backupper Windows PC
Make scheduled backups of your data with the user-friendly TPC Backupper software. After connecting your device to your computer and installing the client, you can set up tasks to back up folders and disk partitions from your compatible Windows PC to TerraMaster USB devices or NAS storage servers. Compatible with Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 systems, this software supports incremental and differential backup strategies, providing reliable protection to your data.
TDAS Mobile App
The free TerraMaster TDAS mobile app allows easy backup and management of photos, videos, and other data on mobile devices via a USB connection. The TDAS app is fully compatible with iOS 15.6 or later and Android 11 or later.
