Ideal for short-throw applications when integrated into a line array, the Toa Electronics SR-C8S is a 2-way line array module with an innovative Sync-Drive waveguide that provides uniform sound pressure and excellent sound clarity, especially in the high frequencies. With a wide 110° horizontal dispersion and 15° vertical coverage, this loudspeaker is ideal for adding shorter, but more complete sonic reach to an array.
The SR-C8S features an 8" cone-type woofer and two high-frequency compression drivers. The module can either operate in a single-amp mode (which provides up to 360W of power handling) or a bi-amplified mode (which offers 360W for the LF driver and 180W for the HF drivers). Input connections include an M4 screw terminal and two Neutrik 4-pole speakON inputs, which are ideal for bi-amped operation. With a feedback-resistant design, this loudspeaker module avoids reflections for enhanced sonic clarity. The drivers can be easily serviced in the field without disassembling the rig thanks to the easy-access panel in the rear. The SR-C8S includes four M8 connection bolts for integration into line arrays.
