Auray BP-1383C Reviews
Love this design. Fast, simple, and super lightweight boompole
This boom pole has been a really nice upgrade for my audio setup, especially on longer shoot days. The first thing that stands out is how lightweight it is. It makes a big difference when you are holding it for extended periods or doing multiple takes. My arms definitely appreciate it, and it helps keep things steady without fatigue setting in too quickly. What I really love though is the quick draw design. It’s awesome. Not having to deal with twist locks is a huge plus. With traditional boom poles, you are constantly tightening and loosening sections, which slows you down. This one opens and closes quickly and smoothly, which makes adjusting on the fly so much easier. It keeps the workflow moving without any interruptions. The build quality feels solid, especially for how light it is. It extends to a great working length while still collapsing down small enough to throw in a bag without taking up much space. This is a fantastic boompole. It is a simple, well-designed tool that does exactly what you need it to do while making your job easier. Glad I found this , it's SUPER lightweight!
Sometimes something being made of carbon fiber doesn't have an obvious difference in weight, but in this case - this boom pole does. This boom pole is extremely lightweight and small enough to throw in my audio bag or in my carry on when I travel. It works like it's supposed to and has a healthy extension when needing more separation from the subject. The feature I like most is the foam grip because the foam allows for the pole to have more grip than my other boom pole when I have it on the boom pole holder for interviews. This is an excellent boom pole whether you're a one man band like me or just looking to save space on shoots. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
