Acer XV275K Reviews

Made for gaming. Great for productivity and entertainment.

This is my 2nd monitor of this model. Two of these side by side make for a lot of screen real estate. These seem great for everyday productivity because of the 4K resolution in a 27" monitor. Text is very clear, though you do have to deal with setting scaling as you go compared to smaller FHD monitors. With that in mind, this monitor is helping keep eye strain at bay. Colors look great to me, but I don't have the highest standards for that since I'm not a content creator. With a base 600nit brightness in SDR, I have a wide range of brightness to choose from for different lighting environments. Watching HDR content that can take advantage of HDR1000 certification is amazing on this monitor. I'm not seeing much blooming here, but it gets so bright that I'm not sure how much I *could* notice. It's not too far removed from a joke that this monitor can get as bright as a flashlight shined in your face. It just looks so much nicer than your average budget monitor. I'm not pushing this too hard as far as gaming is concerned, so I can't speak to issues related to ghosting, etc. I'm also not using KVM, USB hub, and power delivery over USB-C features yet. The base/stand seems very sturdy and well made. However, it takes up a lot of desk space. Make sure you have room for this as well as the external power brick that powers the monitor. My last pair of monitors lasted well over a decade. I wanted something well above a budget monitor that would last a long time. Between mini-LED and OLED, I went with mini-LED due to better brightness, supposed better text quality, lack of burn-in issues, and on top of that, a much lower price for a monitor that should last for years.

Nearly there

Overall a very solid display. I had to massage a few pixels but other than that no dead pixels on mine. The colors are decent but take some fine tuning to get right. Not an OLED experience but contrast and HDR is solid enough for daily use. The included stand feels super wide and awkward. I highly recommend a monitor arm. Biggest complaint and only feature that I actively hate is the OSD controls. A joystick would be infinitely better. If you're on Windows you can at least use their software to control most settings. On Mac you're out of luck. Wish we had more options in the mini-led category to help bring down costs. Think it's pretty solid for the price but could be more competitive.
