Sigma 135mm f/1.4 DG Art Lens (Sony E)

The Sigma 135mm f/1.4 DG Art Lens (Sony E) has a normal 105 filter thread on the front of the lens.

I have found that the Ruggard 6x4.5 (BH# RULCY16X4 • MFR #LCY16X4) works perfectly with this lens if the lens is placed in the case face down, rear ocular up, with the lens hood inserted over the rear ocular and snugged flush with the top edge of the case. (You can store the lens with the hood installed backwards on the lens in the case, but it is very difficult to get back out. The lens hood really does fit much more easily when removed and placed in the case over the rear ocular. The fit is perfectly snug and the lens hood does not rattle around.) The tripod foot must be stored separately; I store mine on the outside of the same case with the foot part upside down through the top handle and lain flat against the top of the case, then the "ring" part gets secured through the massive Velcro belt hook and loop fastener thingy which holds the tripod foot in place without a wobble. It's the smallest case I have found that will work with this lens if configured in this manner, and it works perfectly for me. Perhaps I would prefer the tripod collar not be stored on the outside of the case, but honestly, it is built like a tank and half of the time I leave it at home anyway, so it this set up has actually been more convenient than toting around a larger lens case.
