Kageyama Taikos 1.5 from Impact Soundworks features master percussionist Isaku Kageyama on eight distinct taiko drums, each sampled with a variety of playing techniques. The library shines in traditional music, epic orchestral works, or wherever your imagination takes it—pop and rock, jazz fusion, tense underscores, and anywhere else you need expressive, rhythmic performance.
Each drum has ten round-robins (variations) and five dynamic layers, making it simple for you to perform or sequence lively, expressive aux rhythm parts.
- Three mic positions in a studio space: pristine 24-bit 48 kHz samples recorded with 2 mono mic positions and 1 stereo overhead for an ultra-detailed sound
- Extensive drum selection: odaiko, 2 chudaiko (16 and 18″), shimedaiko, two okedo (1.5 and 1.4 shaku size)
- Extra Japanese percussion: 2 atarigane (high and low) and hyoshigi (clave-like wood blocks)
- Expressive dynamics and variation: play the full breadth of these instruments’ true range with up to ten dynamics, ten round-robins, and nine playing techniques
- Ten tonal snapshots included that cover dry, up-close sounds to more reverberant and boomy styles
