Set-up took some effort.

Brother printers have always been reliable and dependable products for me. After a strong thunder storm which affected several electronic devices, my 9 year old Brother printer started working intermittently. Decided to replace with this model as i am just looking for basic functions (print & scan), affordable ink replacement and WIFI or hardwire. Have to say setup was a tremendous challenge. Despite repeated tries, not able to get Brother's online setup software to work. Manual set-up required repeated connection to WIFI network which may have had something to do with the fact the I have a WIFI extender system. In the end, assisgned a static IP address for the printer. For now - it is connected and working. Hope this holds as I was looking forward to the same hastle free printing I had with my last Brother printer.

Look somewhere else.

Support is nearly impossible to get a hold of. The printer jams. The single paper tray is limiting. The 1.8-inch display doesn't tilt up far enough when you have it under a table. I could go on but I won't. The chatbot for chat support is basically good at saying hello and then that's it.
