Grip works with arca without adapter

Not sure why they sell this with the adapter except to make more money, sure you can order the just the grip and that is what you really need. The grip with work on arca type heads but you have to slide it into place, not the usual drop in motion. The adapter has another issue, it has to be attached to the camera Before it’s attached to the head or you can’t tighten the adapter to hold the camera. If I know I would just have purchased the grip and not wasted the money, sure I could return it but that not fair to BH for my mistake.
