Black tar Ht Venue 100 Overview

Experience a sublime balance of boutique cleans and high-gain overdrives with the Blackstar HT Stage 100H MK III, a 100W tube amp head sporting one classic clean channel and two crunchy high-gain channels via two ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes and four EL34/6CA7 power tubes. With six footswitchable voices (two per channel), you can access an exceptionally wide range of tube tones.

The Clean channel provides treble, bass, volume, and voice controls, while the OD channels offer volume, gain, and voice controls. Master controls include patented ISF tone control, 3-band EQ, reverb with Dark/Light switch, volume, presence, and resonance controls. Power can be reduced down to 10W for perfect tube tones in at any volume level. With extensive I/O, including XLR DI output, five speaker outputs, an onboard FX loop with input sensitivity switch, USB audio output, and DSP CabRig emulated speaker out with 1x12 or 4x12 selections, you have options for any scenario, studio or stage. The HT Stage 100H MK III includes a two-way footswitch.

Uniting Clean and Overdrive
Until HT Venue, guitarists had to choose between an amp that delivered great clean tones, or great overdrives. Blackstar's mission for HT Venue was to use what they learned when designing the Artisan hand-wired boutique amps and the modern high-gain Series One and combine the best clean and overdrives into a single tube amp; a tube amp that would give players classic reference tones in one unit—without compromise.
Two Distinct Voices per Channel
HT Venue MK III offers two unique voices on each channel, each introducing significant circuit changes in the preamp and power amp. These changes affect EQ voicing, tone stack position, gain, and power amp damping, allowing you to achieve a wide range of authentic tones with a single flick of a switch.
CabRig Speaker Simulator
CabRig offers IR-based DSP speaker simulation with hundreds of cabinet, mic, and room settings. Save three presets direct to the amp for quick access. Use standby for silent recording or stage use. The USB-C port sends four channels (clean/dry, preamp out, stereo emulated out) to your DAW for easy, authentic tube tone recording.
ISF Tone Control
Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control shifts the response of the three control tone stack between, a US type response at one end, and at the other, a UK type response. Importantly, in between the two extremes lie an infinite number of alternative tone choices that would be otherwise unavailable.
Reverb and Power Reduction Settings
The HT Stage 100H MK III features a natural-sounding digital reverb that enhances the amp's clean and dirty tones. A Dark/Light switch allows the overall reverb characteristics to be modified and adjusted for different tastes and playing styles, while a power reduction control lets you reduce power handling down to 10% of full wattage, making playing at low levels no less powerful for the lack of volume.
Effects Loop, Line Out, and USB Interface
Additional amenities on the rear panel of the amp include an effects loop, which can be configured for -10 dBV or +4 dBu, depending on the type of equipment being run in the loop. For studio recording and larger venues, a cabinet-voiced direct-out sends a line-level signal, which can be routed to an audio interface or a mixing board, precluding the need for a microphone. For this purpose, XLR and 1/4" jacks are both provided.

You can also use the amp's USB port to route digital audio to your recording interface. In this operation, the HT Stage 100H MK III provides four discrete outputs: stereo emulated (left channel), stereo emulated (right channel), preamp output (for use with your own effects and cabinet IRs), and a dry signal. Furthermore, the amplifier accepts two channels of digital signal from your computer.
Footswitch Flexibility
All channels and voices are footswitchable, providing a wide range of on-stage tube tones with boosts on every channel. The included 2-way footswitch lets you toggle between Clean and Overdrive channels and their voices.
