Professional Video Conversion
Designed for pro workflows, the UDC-4K Mini Converter from AJA provides broadcast-quality up/down/cross conversion, scaling, and synching in a rugged, compact form. The UDC-4K supports up to DCI 4K video and features a large LCD status display, as well as BNC and HDMI input and output.
UHD 4K Up and Down Conversion
Supports up, down, and cross conversion between DCI 4K, UHD 4K, 2K, and HD video resolutions across SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs.
Rugged, Compact Design
An aluminum housing and broadcast-standard components enable the UDC-4K converter to withstand high-density use. This converter features a color LCD status display and front-to-back airflow for proper cooling.
Frame Synchronizer
A built-in frame synchronizer aligns wild or untimed video signals to a common timing reference, ensuring perfect timing for multi-camera productions.
SDI and HDMI Conversion
Ideal for complex setups with mixed components, the UDC-4K converts 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0 to 12G-SDI with EDID emulation, ensuring that your connected source always provides the preferred format on its outputs.
Signal Distribution
An integrated D.A. (distribution amplifier) lets the UDC-4K function as a compact, reclocking one-to-four 12G-SDI signal distributor. It can also distribute a converted input to one HDMI and four SDI outputs or loop through the SDI input to two SDI outputs and send the processed signal to one HDMI and two SDI outputs. You can also use the HDMI input and loop output to distribute your processed signal to four SDI outputs.
HDR Support
The UDC-4K uses 10- and 12-bit processing to support HDR with SDI VPID and HDMI InfoFrame passthrough as well as optional overrides.
