This B&H Kit supplements the Shure SLXD4QDAN+ Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver with Dante with four SLXD1 bodypack transmitters and four WL185m cardioid lavalier microphones to create a Dante-supported hands-free wireless system for four presenters or performers.
The Shure SLXD4QDAN+ is a quad-channel digital wireless receiver compatible with all SLX-D transmitters and housed in a rugged single-rack chassis with Dante networking capabilities and two removable antennas. It is ideally suited for rack mounting in portable flight cases and long-term installations for small- to medium-sized venues, event spaces, conference rooms, houses of worship, and education facilities.
The system delivers crystal-clear, 24-bit digital audio with a wide dynamic range for natural vocal reproduction to presenters, vocalists, clergy, lecturers, and performers. It operates in the UHF band and uses Digital Predictive Switching Diversity technology to protect the transmission from interference and deliver a solid, reliable RF signal without dropouts.
The all-metal rackmount SLXD4QDAN+ receiver offers intuitive LCD interfaces with meters for RF and audio output. It also offers 60 dB of output gain control, and both mic/line XLR and 1/4" instrument outputs for each channel. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning and IR sync to easily link the transmitter (available separately) and receiver to the same frequency.
You can run up to 32 mics simultaneously in the same space. RF cascading allows you to easily create an 8-channel receiver system simply by connecting two SLX-D Quad receivers. Dual Ethernet ports provide Dante audio networking and control capabilities.
- The SLX-D delivers 24-bit digital audio with a fast transient response and over 118 dB of dynamic range—resulting in clear, accurate sound.
- The system operates in the G57: 470 to 608 MHz MHz UHF band with a 138 MHz tuning range and 5520 selectable frequencies, far away from potential Wi-Fi interference in the 2.4 GHz band.
- Digital Predictive Switching Diversity uses a microprocessor to switch between the two antennas for the cleanest signal—before dropouts occur.
- Low latency makes the system ideal for applications that require live sound reinforcement.
- Spectrum-efficient digital transmission technology allows for up to 32 mics to be used at once.
- Up to 10 compatible systems per 6 MHz TV band and 12 systems per 8 MHz band are supported.
- With 4 receivers housed in a tough, single-rack metal chassis with detachable antennas, the SLXD4QDAN+ receiver is a great fit for A/V installations or as part of a portable rackmount rig—ready to travel to a meeting or event.
- The SLX-D is engineered to provide outstanding sound for small- to medium-sized spaces and facilities—without costly, complicated features required primarily for large venues.
- Intuitive front-panel controls and a high-contrast LCD screen with audio and RF meters makes set up a snap.
- The auto-scan function automatically seeks out the cleanest available frequency for you. The receiver and transmitter then easily link to the same frequency via infrared.
- The receiver offers up to 60 dB of adjustable gain, and the display shows you where the ideal level should be.
- Manage high-quality audio systems
- Quick and clear sound transmission
- Precise timing and efficient data handling
- Easier set up, avoiding complex and costly analog cabling
The SLXD4QDAN+ provides Dante Audio digital output that allows direct connection to digital consoles
- Switched: Control and audio signal are on the same network
- Redundant Audio: Control and audio are on the same network, with a second separate network for back-up audio only
- Split: Control and audio signals are on separate networks
- Determine number of available mixer channels
- Set audio output levels on the SLX-D Quad receiver
- Match number of audio outputs to open mixer channels
- Sum channel outputs as necessary:
- 1, 2, 3, 4 = 4 outputs
- 1+2, 3, 4 = 3 outputs
- 1, 2, 3+4 = 3 outputs
- 1+2, 3+4 = 2 outputs
- 1+2+3+4 = 1 output
- Adding UA874 active antennas or PA805SWB passive antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.
- SLX-D Quad receivers feature bias voltage, allowing you to connect UA874 Active Directional Antennas without additional power supplies needed.
- The UA844+SWB antenna distribution system (available separately) lets you stretch the power of your antenna pairs, giving you more on-air channels in less setup time.
- Use the RF cascade outs to connect two SLX-D Quad receivers together for a powerful and compact 8-channel wireless system that takes up only two rack spaces and offers reliable frequency coordination across all 8 channels with streamlined monitoring and centralized control.
The Shure SLXD1 is a bodypack digital wireless microphone transmitter compatible with SLX-D receivers. It delivers crystal-clear, 24-bit digital audio quality and reliable RF performance—well suited for use in small- to medium-sized venues and houses of worship, or with A/V installations in conference, educational, or corporate facilities.
The SLXD1 operates in a 44 MHz UHF tuning range with 1760 frequencies available and features a selectable 1/10mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 330'. It provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries or an SB903 rechargeable battery (available separately).
- The SLXD1 features a TA4M input, allowing you to choose a lavalier or headset mic with a TA4F connector for hands-free presentations and performances, or a dedicated WA305 locking instrument cable for use with a guitar/bass (mic and cable available separately).
- The unit quickly syncs with a wireless receiver via infrared at the touch of a button.
- An easy-to-read LCD shows important information.
- 1/10mW selectable RF output power allows you to increase either the transmitter's range or the number of mics operating simultaneously.
- The discreet, ergonomic housing is constructed from tough, lightweight ABS plastic and features a fixed 1/4 wave antenna.
- The SLXD1 operates for up to 8 hours on two AA batteries or an SB903 rechargeable battery (available separately).
- The SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable battery offers convenient power management with zero memory effect and precision metering in hours and minutes on the transmitter's LCD screen.
- The SBC203 dual-battery recharging station (available separately) charges two SB903 batteries at once—it fits the external contacts on the transmitter so you don't have to remove the batteries to recharge.
Optimized for a 5 VDC plug-in power source, the mic features a 4' cable terminating in a TA4F connector for use with a compatible Shure wireless bodypack transmitter or similar device. A snap-fit windscreen and adjustable lapel clip that offers 90° rotation for optimal mic placement are included. A zippered storage pouch is also supplied.
