Recharge five different battery types with the versatile Energy 16 Plus NiMH/NiCd 12-Bay Battery Charger from Ansmann. The clever engineering of the Energy 16 Plus lets you recharge AAA, AA, C, D, and 9-volt NiMH or NiCd batteries at the same time. You can use the twelve bays to charge up to twelve AAA or AA batteries, use a pair of them to accommodate up to six C or D batteries, or a combination of all four. Two ports allow for 9-volt battery charging and a pair of USB-A ports deliver additional charging to mobile devices from the AC-powered charger. Everything is operated automatically, from battery detection, charging type, and even battery restoration.
Automatic Operation
Once you insert a battery, its capacity is quickly tested and either a pre-charge, refresh, or full charge process is initiated. Refresh is performed when an ailing battery is detected, whether the cause be prolonged storage or memory effect, this process is designed to restore its performance. Upon completion, the charge will trickle charge the batteries.
Battery Protection
Multiple overcharge protections are built into the Energy 16 Plus, and the charger is capable of detecting faulty or non-rechargeable batteries. If non-rechargeable batteries are inserted, a flashing LED indicator will help to notify you to remove it.
Quick Charge
Once inserted, the charger will determine the optimal charging current of the battery and supply up to 1000 mA of current.
