EnGenius DuraFon Roam Starter Kit

Designed for use in demanding environments such as warehouses, the DuraFon ROAM Handset from EnGenius functions as both a long-range cordless phone and two-way radio. This durable handset operates on the 900 MHz frequency with automatic handoff to separately purchased DuraFon ROAM base station units to ensure clear communications as you move from place to place. Both long-range and low-profiles antennas are included to fit your environment. Its removable battery is designed to provide about six hours of talk time and may be recharged in about three hours.

Expand the coverage range of your EnGenius DuraFon ROAM system with the DuraFon ROAM Base Unit. This base unit integrates into your system through an RJ11 telephone jack and an RJ45 Ethernet LAN port. You can power the base station using its included 12V adapter or by connecting it to an 802.3af PoE-compatible network switch. Up to eight base units may be added to a single DuraFon ROAM system to customize coverage. Wall and ceiling mounts are included, and the detachable antenna may be replaced with a separately purchased outdoor one.

Manage up to eight EnGenius DuraFon Roam base stations with the DuraFon Roam Base Station Controller v2. This controller manages the system calls and hand-off between base units to ensure long-range coverage.

The internal 27 dBm antenna supports offers wide coverage while supporting up to 128 channels. You can operate this wall mountable controller by connecting a PoE compatible device to the designated RJ45 port or by adding a separately purchased power adapter. An RJ45 passthrough port is also available.
