Ideal for stages, the SoundTools CAT Rack is a rackmounted stage box featuring 12 XLR male analog audio inputs, three etherCON inputs, and three etherCON outputs. Completely passive, this unit can take 12 channels of audio and distribute them via Cat 5 cables without any interference or signal loss.
On top of analog audio, this device can support communication inputs, such as DMX signals. The CAT Rack also supports AES72-20 digital signals. The CAT Rack takes up 1 RU on equipment and features reversible rack ears for reverse mounting. The CAT Rack includes two rack ears.
Rackmountable Stage Box
The SoundTools CAT Rack is the ultimate in rack-mounted XLR-to-Cat stage boxes. Twelve XLR ins line one side of the unit, and three pairs of etherCon ins and outs (6 connections total) are on the other side. CAT Racks are all analog and designed with machined anodized aluminum and stainless steel screws for ultimate durability. When used with shielded Cat 5e cable or better, the CAT Rack allows for the use of phantom power.
Reversible Ears
Easily reverse the rack ears to change which way the rack is mounted by unscrewing the two screws on each side.
