Each of the desktop speakers use a 1" Microtractrix tweeter and 3" midrange driver, while the dedicated subwoofer combines a tube-ported design with a 6.5" side-firing woofer. Tilt the stands of the desktop speakers to angle sound directly to your ears, optimizing your gaming audio or streaming movie soundtracks. They also offer rear ambient lighting you can control via the desktop app, and Bluetooth support for audio streaming from a phone or tablet.

Using the Klipsch Control desktop app, you can activate Night or Music Reach modes, adjust the EQ, or manage the ambient lights with three color-changing options.

Given that the documentation never mentioned Linux, and especially that the accompanying bloatware was described as being Windows-only, I was concerned when it didn't just work right out of the box on my Ubuntu 24 OS machine. After connecting the unit, the Linux sound software ALSA and Pipewire need to be removed and re-installed. Turned out to be easy enough. I can't speak to the LED light display controls, that is not a feature I have use for.

The Klipsch ProMedia Lumina 2.1-Channel Computer Speaker System (B&H #KLPML2.1) works with any operating system; the only requirement is that you have an available audio output. The only component that is incompatible with Linux is the Klipsch Control desktop app, which allows users to control Night or Music Reach modes, adjust the EQ, and manage the ambient lights with three colour-changing options; it is only available for Windows 11 version 23H2 and later.
