This version replaces the standard vest with Easyrig’s Flex Vest, offering increased adjustability and improved upper-body support while retaining the familiar size and overall form of the original Boom Rig.
NOTE: While the Flex was specifically developed to accommodate female operators, it can be used by anyone who needs the extra adjustability and support.
Flex Vest Design and Fit
The Flex Vest features wrap-style chest straps that overlap in the front to provide greater stability during extended operation. Adjustable shoulder straps at the top can be lengthened for a more customized fit, while additional attachment points connecting the waist and chest straps help distribute weight more evenly across the torso. Although originally developed to better accommodate female operators, the Flex Vest is suitable for anyone who benefits from added adjustability and support.
Boom Support and Operational Performance
The upper support arm provides both height and power adjustment to accommodate boompoles weighing between 5.5 and 22 lb and up to 19.7' long. Your boompole slides smoothly into the boom hook, where integrated rollers allow fluid movement within a 41.7" pivot range. When not in use, the boompole can be secured to your side using the side hook, and an optional mixer holder allows a mixer to be mounted to the front of the vest for easy access.
