Magnus LM-750V Overview

The LM-750V Tripod with Lateral Center Column from Magnus is a sturdy all-weather tripod with a pan-tilt head that supports up to 10 lb of video gear. The four-section aluminum legs allow the tripod to reach up to 70", which is convenient when shooting with your camera at eye level. The LM-750V's center column offers a convenient lateral option for extending your camera horizontally out from the tripod and suspending it over a subject when shooting documents or artwork. The center column is removable and can be converted into a five-section, 62"-tall monopod, ideal for videographers on the go.

The video head features independent pan and tilt locks as well as separate pan and tilt tension control. Adjust the controls to move your camera freely and follow the action, or to track with precision and smooth motion. It incorporates a panning arm for fluid movement and a quick-release plate for easy camera mounting. The 4.1-pound LM-750V folds down to a compact 24" and includes a nylon carrying bag with a shoulder strap for transport and storage.

Telescoping Aluminum Legs
Four-section telescoping legs are secured by flip lock joints for easy adjustment, and a center locking brace provides additional reinforcement on even and uneven surfaces. With the legs and center column at full extension, a camera can be raised to a height of 70".
Video Pan-Tilt Fluid Head
The video head lets you quickly orient your camera to aim at or follow the action with ease. The LM-750V features independent pan-and-tilt controls that employ separate locking knobs. Additional tension adjustment knobs regulate camera movement for more precision and smoother camera motion.
Rapid-Adjust Center Column
The rapid-adjust center column offers up to 11" of height adjustment without the need to readjust the height of the legs.
90° Lateral Center Column
This tripod is equipped with a two-way collar that allows the center column to be mounted at a 90° angle. This is a great option for product, demonstrations, and macro shots. Once in lateral orientation, the center column swivels 360°, and its length can be adjusted to position the camera directly over the items you're shooting.
Integrated Monopod
Remove the center column from the collar, and it becomes a 5-section monopod with height adjustment from 17 to 62". Use it to keep up with the action when you're shooting sports, wildlife, and outdoor activities where a full tripod would be too bulky and cumbersome.
Quick Release Plate
The quick release plate comes with a 1/4"-20 mounting screw compatible with most video and action cameras and camcorders. The mounting plate releases from the head with a flick of a switch, so you can alternate between tripod and handheld operation in seconds.
Stability
A hook at the end of the center column allows a counterweight, like a sandbag, to be attached for additional stability when setting up in windy conditions or on uneven terrain.
Rubber Feet
For extra steadiness on almost any kind of surface or footing, the tripod employs rubber feet that won't slip on most smooth surfaces and that swivel to adjust to uneven terrain.
Foam Leg Padding
One tripod leg features foam padding to assure a solid grip in any kind of weather, and it keeps hands comfortable when handling the tripod in the cold.

Magnus LM-750V Reviews

A tripod that easily adapts to different situations

This tripod offers a lot more versatility than you might expect at first glance. Besides being a well-made, affordable tripod, it is extremely versatile. The standout feature for me is the lateral center column. Being able to swing the camera out over a table or object is very cool and extremely useful for product shots, overhead angles, or any kind of demo work. It opens up creative options that you just do not get with a standard tripod. Another feature I really like is the ability to convert it into a monopod. That is such a helpful option to have when you need to move quickly or do not want to carry a full tripod setup. It makes this feel like multiple tools in one, which is always a plus when you are trying to keep your gear setup efficient. Overall, it feels solid and easy to use, with smooth pan and tilt controls and quick adjustments. It is a very practical, budget tripod that gives you flexibility for different shooting scenarios without overcomplicating things. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Awesome basic tripod - especially for beginners!

This tripod is great for smaller cameras and anyone who's just starting out with film and photography, but doesn't want to break the bank. All the things a more expensive tripod does, this tripod does, but you need to be mindful of the weight capacity (10lbs). It's not designed to take big rigs, but in most cases it'll do just fine. Here's what stands out the most to me... - it's small enough to carry around all day and yet it stretches up to 70in - I like that it's VERY affordable and yet it comes with a head and a side strap handle - It has a built in monopod - love when tripods have the hook on the center column because I always like to hang a sandbag from the center to keep the tripod extra steady - the rubber feet that swivel are great for uneven surfaces [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
