[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Express Card P9 512GB: Up to roughly 512 billion bytes of storage (the usable capacity will be somewhat lower after formatting). * microSD Express: Designed for much higher transfer speeds than ordinary UHS-I microSD cards. * P9 Express: Samsung’s product/model designation for this newer Express card family. * Removable: You can move it between compatible devices. * Nonvolatile: Your photos, videos, documents, etc. remain on it when the device is turned off. * Not RAM: Despite being called a “memory card,” it does not function as your phone/computer’s working RAM. ⚠️ The biggest thing to know Your device has to support microSD Express to get the Express performance. If you put it into a device that only supports ordinary microSD/UHS-I, it may still work as a storage card, but you won’t get the full Express speeds. Also, don’t assume that every device with a microSD slot supports microSD Express. The slot and device controller have to support it. What 512GB can hold Very roughly, depending on file sizes: * 📸 100,000+ smartphone photos if they’re around 5 MB each * 🎥 Several dozen hours of 4K video, depending heavily on bitrate * 🎵 Tens of thousands of songs * 📄 Hundreds of thousands of documents * 🎮 A substantial game library on a compatible gaming device
