The quality of components is excellent. The aluminum finish matches the X100VI. The selling point for me was that the adapter also accepts additional filters while have its own UV filter built into it (for weather sealing). The look is debatable and usefulness perhaps too - I think in some situations the square hood may make a difference, but with the X100VI you are not taking any do-or-die photos. It's a fun leisure camera.
