The Patton Fiberplex VIM-1832-S-LC is the primary tail end interface for building a high-capacity 32x8 fiber-optic audio transport system. When paired with a VRK-1832 (analog) or VIS-4832 (digital) rack unit, it forms the stage-to-FOH backbone for LightViper installations. Add the optional VIM-1032 at the monitor point or other locations, and you gain flexible downstream splits of all 32 incoming channels for wide-area audio distribution.
Designed for professional touring, installed sound, and live production workflows, the VIM-1832-S-LC handles 32 audio outputs (simultaneous analog line-level and AES3 digital) along with 8 selectable analog/AES3 inputs for return feeds. Acting as the system’s clock master, it can generate a high-quality Word Clock or lock to an external reference, ensuring stability and precision throughout the entire network.
A fiber pass-through port provides a freshly driven optical signal for daisy-chaining additional VIM-1032 units, while the built-in TTL “control” port (on an EtherCon® connection) integrates LightViper accessories such as DMX control or MIDI/serial interfaces—delivering audio and control data on a unified optical backbone.
