When installed by a professional electrician, the Smart Home Panel 2 allows you to intelligently handle power outages and save money on energy use with additional equipment. The 12-circuit subpanel supports up to three EcoFlow inverters and 15 stackable 6kWh batteries. If the power goes out, the Smart Home Panel 2 will automatically switch to battery power in just 20 ms. The system can manage readiness using forecasts and weather alerts, and you can personally customize the system using the EcoFlow app, web dashboard, or optional PowerInsight wall panel.

Smart Home Panel 2 does not strictly have to be connected to the utility grid, but it is primarily designed to work with grid power in a standard home setup.
Normally, the panel is tied to the grid and automatically switches between grid power and EcoFlow battery systems during outages. However, it can also operate without grid power if it is supplied by a compatible EcoFlow inverter or generator. In off-grid or generator-only setups, some features may be limited and proper configuration is required.
For safety and correct operation, installation should always be done by a qualified electrician following EcoFlow’s installation guidelines.
