Venus Optics Laowa 200mm f/2 AF Overview

Full-Frame Telephoto Prime with Autofocus
Designed for full-frame cameras, the Laowa 200mm f/2 AF FF Telephoto Prime Lens from Venus Optics provides excellent background separation, stunning compression, and outstanding low-light performance in an affordable form. This compact, lightweight lens features a fast f/2 maximum aperture and precise, highly accurate autofocus.
High-End Optics
With razor-sharp clarity, large, creamy bokeh, and impressive depth of field, this versatile 200mm lens is ideal for portraits, wildlife capture, and cine-style storytelling. Designed with high-end optics, it minimizes chromatic aberration, ensuring sharp edges, accurate colors, and clean images—even in scenes with higher contrast.
Function Button
Assign the front FN (function) button to quickly access a frequently used function like ISO, white balance, autofocus mode, or drive mode.
Selectable Focus Range
  • The 200mm lens has a selectable focus range with a Full setting that enables the lens to use the entire focusing range, while the 4.9' to ∞ setting limits autofocus to subjects that are at least 4.9' away. Limiting the focus range this way can help speed up autofocus, letting you track distant subjects more easily.
  • Use the toggle button to switch between AF (autofocus) (AF) and (MF) manual focus to best match your shooting style and creative intentions.
Front and Rear Filter Threads
This versatile lens has a 105mm front filter thread for attaching polarizers, ND grads, and similar filters. It also has a rear 43mm filter holder that lets you reduce both weight and expense, streamlining your workflow and enhancing your mobility.
Lens Support
Adjust the position of the lens support by loosening the knob, making it easier to change the orientation of your camera while maintaining stability. The dedicated support bracket included with the lens lets you easily mount it on a tripod with an Arca-type mounting system.
Compact, Lightweight Design
This 200mm telephoto lens features a compact 6.88" length and a relatively light weight of 3.9 lb.
Weather Sealing
  • A robust, weather-sealed structure keeps dust and moisture away from the lens.
  • A water- and dirt-repellent layer protects the front element.
