The USB Extender Kit comes with host and device extenders housed in compact, all-metal chassis, making them resilient and easy to install.
Each extender incorporates an HDBaseT-USB3 connection through a standard RJ45 port. The HDBaseT connection supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s and the transfer of power, which means you only need to hook up the included power supply to one of the extenders. Connect to a host device through a single USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, then connect up to seven peripheral devices through the remaining three USB-C and four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports. The remaining USB-C connector port on each extender is a service port dedicated to firmware updates. Both extenders are equipped with RS-232 3-pin and FSYNC 1-pin options on a 3.5mm phoenix connector to reliably control AV, network, healthcare, or other peripheral equipment.
