I purchased recently to upgrade my capture capability from Black Magic HD UltraStudio. I am glad I did- the image quality is better and the capture is seamless without any special driver downloads (Mac OS). I am using OBScast.

Obsessed with the ease of set-up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my 4K S so so much. It's suuuper easy to set up, no long fiddling with wires, they all come in the box and with the Elgato Studio software I can just jump in and play and record in the highest quality.

whats the difference beetween X and S models?

whats the difference beetween X and S models?
Asked by: Luis
Both capture at 4K60, but 4K X uses HDMI 2.1 and goes up to 4K144 capture and passthrough with HDR support, making it ideal for high-refresh-rate setups. 4K S uses HDMI 2.0, maxes out at 4K60 SDR capture. If you don't need frame rates above 60fps at 4K, 4K S covers most setups.
