The Ricoh GR IV Digital Camera does not have interchangeable lenses. However, there is an optional add on wide angle lens available which converts the 28mm lens into a 21mm.

How does one use the flash shoe for a flash if already using the shoe for the accessory, optical viewfinder?

When using a flash on the Ricoh GR IV, you can use the LCD screen as the viewfinder. If you are using the optional Ricoh GV-2 external viewfinder, there would be no way to use a flash. There is no option to use both.
