Love the features, the relatively light weigh, and the image quality is superb. At any price this lens is a bargain and at it's current price it makes one feel just a bit guilty.

Excellent lens! Some minor hiccups!

I would give it five stars if it was 100% reliable with my Nikon Zf and the latest firmware. Image quality is tremendously good. It's reliable about 97-98% of the time. During a full day of shooting I may have to remove and reattach the lens in order for it to function properly on the camera after that it starts working again properly. Happens once every 3-4 hours of heavy use. (On my Nikon Zf, latest firmware at time of writing) Not a huge deal for non-professional work. This also happens with the 55mm f/1.8 for Nikon Z. ( I suspect this may be a firmware bug on many Viltrox lenses, I have two of their other lenses for Sony E that also do this, albeit slightly less often. ) If you're a pro, I'd still recommend first party or 3rd party Tamron glass, but if Viltrox works out the minor disconnect bug mentioned above this would be an easy 5 star review and every bit as good if not better than first party options IMO.
