Oberwerth Momentum Camera Bag (Night Blue, Large)

Very Nice!

This is my first Oberwerth camera bag! I do have plenty of other slings, backpacks, etc for my camera gear but wanted a "nice" bag for city use. I went with the medium even though my camera could probably fit into the small, I wanted a little extra room for sunglasses, etc. Also of course it depends on which camera I'm bringing (from my fujifilms; probably would not carry the sonys in it; sorry, not a Leica guy (yet??)). There's no denying that this is a really nice camera bag, beautiful materials and construction quality, exactly as shown on Oberwerth's web site. The leather is really really nice. Strap is a tiny bit heavy vs. the bag itself (that surprised me) but it's well made and will be lifetime durable is why they probably do that. And, it feels really nice. Whether the price is acceptable is totally up to you (I do have a Germany trip scheduled but saw the price was basically the same in Berlin as from B&H, just minor difference). I've only used it a little so far and it does what I want .. I wanted the square / easy access (vs. other soft slings where the zipper is there to be navigated as you insert / remove the camera). There are not many pockets in the bag but that's known before you purchase. The rear zippered compartment worked well for my phone. I haven't used the front pocket, it's very flat so I did put my extra batteries in the main section. It would probably work best for flat(ish) items like lens cloth etc. I had the bag across my body not at my hip for a bit and the cover didn't quite go on squarely, somewhat as expected based on the off-center pulling of the strap. I could move the cover into position, and when I kept the bag at my hip, the cover was centered. The exterior custom engraved fidlock buckles are amazing, exactly as expected. They make access and especially closing the bag very easy. It's a bag I expect to keep for many many years and hopefully one of my kids will make use of it as well in the future. I expect the patina from use will just add to its character and that it was mine.
