For Mirrorless Cameras
Designed expressly for mirrorless cameras, the DJI RS 3 Mini is a lightweight single-handed gimbal stabilizer. It supports up to 4.4 lb rigs and features Bluetooth control for select cameras and enhanced performance using the 3rd Gen RS stabilization algorithm. Weighing only 1.75 lb, the RS 3 Mini offers multiple control options, including a touchscreen, buttons, and the Ronin app.
Multiple Control Options
  • Use the 1.4" OLED touchscreen to calibrate and set parameters for the RS 3 Mini.
  • Control gimbal movement, camera shutter, focus, and recording using the gimbal buttons.
  • Access wireless control for select cameras using Bluetooth and the Ronin app.
Quick Release Plates
The dual-layer quick release plates make it easy to mount a camera onto the RS 3 Mini and eliminate the need to rebalance the gimbal after swapping out a new battery or memory card.
Horizontal and Vertical Modes
  • The RS 3 Mini can switch between horizontal mode and a vertical view for social media.

Built-In Battery

Before I could even get the thing to operate AT ALL, I was forced to grind through a tedious, time-consuming, error-prone registration process that required me to install an App on my phone that I did not want to install in the first place. Coercive design is bad design and suggests the manufacturer makes may other similarly bad design decisions. This is my first and LAST purchase of a DJI product. Not worth the pain and wasted time. I would recommend instead buying a better brand that respects you and your time.

This gimbal works so well! I have it with my Sony Zv-e10 and Sigma 16mm. This is a great combo. The battery lasts long and the stabilization is top-notch. I definitely recommend this gimbal.

I saw on DJI website it supports the Canon R5, does that also mean the R5C? I did not see it listed and it should support the weight since the cameras are similar. Will it have the same functionality and gimble controls?

The Canon R5C is currently not listed as supported on the DJI RS3 Mini. Only the DJI RS3 Pro lists the R5C as supported at this time. The R5C is a larger camera than the R5. Compatibility link - https://bit.ly/3W2W0ic

Is there anyway to tether a remote control for this ronin? such as the smallrig or even DJI tether model?

The DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal Stabilizer (B&H# DJRS3M) does not currently include any sort of physically tetherable remote control, nor is there any available as an accessory at this time. However, it is possible to use the DJI Ronin app with Bluetooth for wireless camera control.

The Sony FX30 Digital Cinema Camera and the Sirui 35mm f/1.8 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens can mount and balance on the DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal Stabilizer. The gimbal can handle up to 4.4 pound payloads.
