Driven by the Technics Legacy
For decades, Technics' direct drive has delivered accurate, maintenance-free rotation. This mechanism, which directly spins the platter with strong torque, has evolved to offer even greater precision with a coreless motor that eliminates cogging.
Digital Control
Digital control elevates rotation accuracy to the highest level through precise speed detection, per-unit calibration during production, and digitally optimized motor drive signals.
Circuit Layout
Separate PCBs for power, motor control, and phono EQ are placed away from the tonearm with crossover-free wiring. This minimizes distortion of sound.

Technics SL-50C Reviews

Such A Great Turntable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently got back into hi-fi after long hiatus and have been looking for a quality turntable for some time. Back in the 90's I was a big fan of technics equipment and had several of their turntables. When I saw that Technics was back in the market and this new SL-P50C turntable was available I just knew I had to check it out. I was not disappointed on any level. The product was well packaged, and unboxing was an exciting event in itself. As soon as I opened the box, I knew I was in for a premium experience. Setup was really easy and the instructions were clear. In no time at all I was ready to spin my first record. I initially bypassed the phono stage as I already have a great phono stage on my Cambridge Audio Amplifier. Completing my setup is a pair of ELAC Debut 6.2 speakers. Build quality is excellent, and the entire deck has a solid feel to it. The direct drive is amazing and as soon as the start button is pressed the platter is up to speed. I chose to listen to one of my favorite records and when the needle landed, I knew I had made a great choice. The sound quality was fantastic, It totally blew me away. Vocals are crystal clear and there is so much detail and depth to the music compared to my previous turntable. The SL-50C has brought a new lease of life to my record collection, and I can't wait to play all of my favorites. One great thing about this turntable is that it provides a range of options for future upgrades. Not only can you upgrade the stylus, but it has a removable head shell that allows you to upgrade the entire cartridge. Unlike my previous turntable, I can see this lasting me for years to come and I could not be happier.

Clean Design and Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Technics SL-50C has been a really nice upgrade to my home audio setup. The first thing that stood out to me was the design because the gray finish looks clean and modern and makes it feel like it's part of my home decor. It's solid and well made, which makes it feel like something that's meant to last. The controls are very easy and everything feels smooth and responsive when using it. I especially like how steady the rotation is once a record starts. Putting on a record feels quick and easy instead of complicated. Overall, I have been really happy with the look, build quality, and how easy it is to use. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
