The RDL TP-BN14 is a compact tabletop Dante interface designed to streamline microphone input, local monitoring, and headphone source selection in modern networked audio environments. Ideal for conference rooms, courtrooms, meeting halls, and multilingual interpretation systems, the TP-BN14 delivers clean audio conversion, intuitive user control, and flexible monitoring options—all in a rugged, PoE-capable form factor.
Microphone-to-Network Conversion
The TP-BN14's front-panel, shock-mounted XLR input converts a standard microphone into a Dante network channel with automatic gain handling for both condenser and dynamic mics. P48 phantom power is provided, while the integrated mute button supports latching or momentary operation for smooth, reliable control. High-resolution 24-bit A/D conversion ensures pristine audio capture before it reaches the network.
Local Speaker Monitoring
An onboard 2-watt RMS amplifier powers the front-panel speaker, letting users monitor a dedicated Dante channel or mirror the headphone source. A built-in compressor/limiter prevents clipping, maintaining clarity, even with dynamic or unpredictable audio sources.
Versatile Headphone Monitoring
The integrated headphone output offers selection of three or four mono Dante network sources-perfect for listening to different program feeds, translated languages, or return channels. Each source has its own button with LED confirmation, while the top button provides an "OFF" option or selects the speaker source. A front-panel level knob controls a VCA stage, ensuring long-term noise-free operation without audio passing through the physical control.
Flexible Power and Setup
With adjustments located on the chassis bottom, installers can configure the TP-BN14 for varied system requirements. The unit can operate from a 24 VDC supply (sold separately) or over PoE, including normal or hot-standby modes. High-resolution 24-bit conversion handles both A/D and D/A paths for exceptional audio quality throughout.
