Ideal for tackling a wide array of tonal shaping applications, the Wolff Audio FREQ is a 500 series module sporting four bands of fully parametric EQ with proportional Q control, which ensures minor adjustments are wide and extreme changes are narrow. With the selectable Wide mode on the high and low frequencies, you can shift into a 3-octave fixed filter for gentle shelving.
The mid bands sport a 1/3 Octave Lock mode, which is ideal for surgical notch filtering, defeating the proportional Q function that would normally make these lower cut adjustments wider. The whole module also provides an EQ In button for use as a true hardware bypass. The output transformer is a custom Cinemag design that blends nickel and steel for a highly transparent, color-free output character. Drawing less than 100mA per rail, this EQ module will not consume excessive current, allowing you to easily use two EQ modules for stereo processing or fit the FREQ into a crowded chassis.
