Aputure Quick Dome Overview

The Quick Dome 40 from Aputure is a compact circular softbox featuring a parabolic design that is designed to pair with the STORM 80c light fixture. The softbox has a reflective silver interior and provides a soft, even light output.

A quick release latch on the Mini ProLock mount allows users to quickly set up the tension on all eight steel support rods in seconds, making installation a breeze. When not in use, the softbox folds down flat for easy storage in the included carry bag.

Setup is quick, nice that it folds flat for storage. Wish I could just buy the old design though since this is not compatible with the Aputure 300d Mark ii.

Aperture seems to just keep innovating and putting new products out. I'm not complaining! The previous model was very good, and I had no complaints. But this new 'quick' version is sooo nice. I love how little time it takes to set up. That's really the whole point of buying it! You can set this thing up in a matter of seconds, and if you have worked with other types of softboxes and modifiers over the years, you know how much a difference that can make. The quality is excellent as well - no complaints. A stellar product that I would buy again, and probably will buy in other sizes.

The Aputure Quick Dome 40 for STORM 80c is not a standard Bowens mount. It is a mini like Bowens mount and is only compatible with the Storm 80C light.

Yes, the Aputure Quick Dome 90 is a Bowens Mount light modifier which will attach to the Aputure LS 1200d Pro LED which has a Bowens Mount.

To use the Aputure Quick Dome 60 on the Aputure STORM 80c BLAIR-CG LED Monolight, you need the Aputure Mini ProLock to Bowens Mount Adapter for STORM 80c Monolight, BH #APMPBMAS80C (https://bhpho.to/4dvfdFw).

The Aputure Quick Dome 90 will not work on the Aputure LS 600c Pro II RGB LED Monolight. The handle in this photo, https://bhpho.to/4u55ZFF, does not allow it to fit on most other lights but the STORM, Electro Storm, and Light Storm fixtures.

The design of the Aputure Quick Dome 90 prevents it from attaching properly on to the amaran 300c RGB LED Monolight. It is made to only work on the STORM, Electro Storm, and Light Storm fixtures. These are some options that will fit the amaran 300c, https://bhpho.to/4nFWMBi.
