Yes, the amaran Fresnel for Ray 360c & 660c is a Fresnel lens with a stipple pattern in the lens that diffuses the light, not just focuses it.

What is the difference between this and the Aputure Fresnel 2X Attachment ?
Asked by: Houssein
The amaran Fresnel for Ray 360c & 660c (B&H# AMA00060404) has several differences with the Aputure Fresnel 2X Attachment (B&H# APFRESNEL2X), but the most important by far is that it has more room to accommodate the significantly protruding LED emitter of many common and modern LED monolights such as those from the aforemented Ray series. The second most important difference is that the amaran Fresnel for Ray 360c & 660c (B&H# AMA00060404) is a couple of inches wider and larger than the Aputure Fresnel 2X Attachment (B&H# APFRESNEL2X) (i.e., 13.1 x 7.8 x 7.8" or 33.3 x 19.7 x 19.7 cm versus 7 x 7 x 5.5" or 180 x 180 x 141 mm). The third especially important difference is that the amaran Fresnel for Ray series comes with barndoors whereas the Aputure Fresnel 2X does not. Finally, it should be noted that the stated beam angles (i.e., 15-45° for the amaran Fresnel for Ray 360c & 660c and 12-40° for the Aputure Fresnel 2X) should be discounted in their relevancy because they are designed for fixtures with LED emitters in different locations.
