Improving upon the desktop-class feature set of the M17, the FiiO M27 Portable Hi-Res Music Player raises the bar in terms of power, precision, and customization. Dual-channel ES9312 regulators work in conjunction with dual ES9039SPRO DACs to deliver accurately reproduced music with a high dynamic range and ultra-low distortion. The M27 offers audiophiles end-to-end 768 kHz, 32-bit lossless playback through a combination of headphone, coaxial, optical, and USB-C ports. You can also stream lossless music over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.4. Enjoy up to nine hours of battery life, or bypass it for continuous use in Desktop mode through the included DK1 PLUS desktop cooling stand.

Five Gain Modes
Select from four different gain levels to power IEMs and over-ear headphones. A fifth 5000mW+5000mW Ultra High Gain mode can be accesses by connecting the M27 to an optional fast-charging power adapter.

Audiophile-Grade Components
The M27 has been meticulously engineered to ensure exceptional Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless fidelity. To start, separate power supplies for analog and digital sections are utilized to minimize the chance of audio interference and crosstalk. They feature a 50W high-capacity reserve power conversion circuit, a 65A high-current MOSFET low-loss managed power path, and large energy storage capacitors. They work to power end-to-end lossless playback using this array of premium audio components:

  • 2 x NJU72315 electronic volume control chips
  • 2 x TI OPA2211 op-amps optimized for musicality
  • 2 x replays for lossless signal transmission
  • 8 x ELNA audio capacitors
  • 20 x RUBYCON film capacitors
  • 50+ x low-noise, low-temperature drift film resistors
Pure Sound You Can Customize
A high-capacity FPGA + RIVER femtosecond crystal oscillators are part of FiiO's 6th-gen DAPS (Digital Audio Purification System). The ultra-high precision of your audio is joined by ultra-low jitter during its transmission. The clear sound can be further tweaked to your liking with a 31-band PEQ. If you want the M27 to do the work, select sound presets or choose the AUTO feature. Just upload or select your headphone's original data, then set your desired target curve. Additional features include built-in sound effects, such as Pop, Jazz, and FX17 Relaxed Sound. The last being specifically tuned to FiiO's optional FX17 earphones.
Keep It Cool
To keep your M27 functioning smoothly, it's equipped with a high-efficiency 3D cooling system that uses a graphite vapor chamber, graphene thermal conduction pads, copper heat sinks, and the player's seamless metal chassis to dissipate heat buildup quickly and efficiently.
Modern Function with Premium Aesthetics
Looking as good as it sounds, the M27 features cool side-integrated RGB lighting effects, a fiberglass backplate with marble magma texture, and large 0.86" knurled knob. The body's analog aesthetics are matched by crisp modern detailing and digital features. The front of the M27 sports a 5.99" 1080p touchscreen, which is protected by 5th-generation Corning Gorilla Glas. Through this, you can use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support to stream music or play back your library through dual microSD card slots.

This model is made from a premium TC4 titanium alloy, which has four times the hardness of aluminum alloy. The luxurious look comes after 13 hours of precision CNC machining and an hour of polishing. The material also enjoys enhanced resistance to wear, corrosion, scratches, and abrasions.

What a flagship should be!

I purchased this after sending back a competitors dap that had a defective DC-IN jack. I had the difficult decision of taking another chance on the defective model or try my first Fiio, and I don’t regret my decision. This M27 is fast! Boot up takes merely seconds and Qobuz and Spotify are absolutely seamless with zero lag. But how is the sound quality, and aren’t the Sabre Dacs clinical sounding and less musical? In my personal opinion after a couple of days of heavy use for capacitors to do their thing, I’d say it’s very musical. Not clinical, but still precise and smooth. There aren’t a lot of reviews out there and I think that’s because some people think this is expensive for a Fiio product and it is, but it is a well thought out product with no shortcuts taken and the build quality is fantastic! I know it’s possible to get a lemon from any brand but the stars aligned and I picked this as a replacement and do not regret it.

This player is a monster. It has every output you could ever need; optical, component, 2.2mm, 3.5, 4.4, and my personal favorite, the quarter inch (taking into account most headphones come with quarter inch as standard). Not only did it come with an incredibly nice carrying case, it also came with a case that fits the player and a stand for desktop use, as well as a heat sink built into the case to work with the fan in the stand.
