Plustek 8300i AI scanner

Basically plug and go using the Plustek software. Gave good results on color slides and black and white 35mm negatives. Using the included Silverfast AI 9 software gave fantastic results. It rescans using IR to locate and remove dust, etc. With the Silverfast software you have to name the file prior to prescanning. You can crop the prescription so the actual scan just does the cropped version. Several different file types to save the scan. I purchased a second set of holders so I could load up the second set while the first set is scanning. Not near my computer, will try to upload some samples later, if allowed. Glad I bought. As usual fast ordering and shipping. THANKS B&H!

What size file in MB do it scan at ?

What size file in MB do it scan at ?
Asked by: James
The Plustek Optic-Film 8300I AI Scanner can be set to a maximum resolution of 7200dpi. Therefore a full resolution scan of a 35mm negative would create about a 198MB file uncompressed. You can set the scanner to a lower resolution when you do not need to create a large file and/or the file size will be lower if you crop part of the photo.
