I have used these with my ML100's and ML40's. These work great with all the ML series mini reflectors [ML-L10, ML-L15, ML-L36, ect.] for modifying the lights on the fly for fast location work/small footprint productions. While the two filters that offer "shapes" are a little less refined than a focusing spot, they are acceptable; the diffusion variants work well. I mainly use the ML-D60 for uniform background lighting on seamless/greenscreen shots; it casts a very broad and even pattern. The "bar"- shaped ML-D1060, which adds a slash of light across the scene, is decent in adding some variance/texture across a room or office backdrop/set. They also include a simple metal ring, which I assume is for holding a small gel sheet if you want to run gels. I have liked the magnetic interface, which is more robust than the barndoors for adhesion, and has worked without issue. For the size and cost, a worthy buy over a dedicated spot fixture if keeping your kit small is a priority. Barndoors are a must to control spill unless you're into flags and cutters --but that's more stuff to haul around, so... for a quick, small, system-compatible accessory that modifies the ML series lights satisfactorily, I recommend these. But again, I'd also buy the matching barndoor kit as well.
