Auray APH-12 Overview

Transform your recording space into a professional environment using the Hexagonal Acoustic Panels from Auray. These 11.75 x 10.25" hexagon-shaped panels are made of a high-density, recycled polyester fiber. The fibers absorb high-frequency reflections and dampen ambient noise that can emanate from and penetrate small- to medium-sized rooms. Stick panels on the wall behind the computer in your studio room or on the walls to the sides of your workspace to enhance vocal clarity for your voiceover recordings. Group the panels together on your living room and bedroom walls to diffuse noisy conversations, so you can read in peace. The lightweight panels can be effortlessly mounted with the peel and stick self-adhesive backing.

Acoustic Decor
The hexagon-shaped panels allow you to arrange them in patterns on the wall like a honeycomb layout or scatter them across the wall to look like modern art. Cut the panels for a custom fitting into corners or to help complete unique geometric shapes. The classic honeycomb, with the panels edge to edge, covers a solid, continuous block, which maximizes sound absorption. Scatter the panels across the wall in a flowing pattern that's heavy on one side or explodes to diffuse and break up sound waves along flat surfaces.
Sound Treatment
Optimize the acoustics in your room, sound studio, or office by treating the walls with Auray's collection of Hexagonal Acoustic Panels. Each panel is made of high-density polyester fiber that absorbs unwanted echoes and minimizes high-frequency reflections. This is useful in a music studio to deaden the sound and increase the clarity of recorded instruments and vocals. Alternatively, you can set up the panels in bedrooms, living rooms, and offices to reduce volume levels of music, movies, and video conferences.
Easy Installation
Each panel offers easy installation on any flat wall surface with peel-and-stick self-adhesive backing. Just clean the wall or ceiling and press the panel firmly for several seconds and you have a semi-permanent acoustic treatment without having to drill holes in the wall.
Environmentally Friendly
The acoustic panels are made from recycled materials and are safe to use in homes, studios, schools, and offices.

First of all, I love that Auray created these beautiful acoustic panels using recycled materials, making them a more environmentally conscious choice. They are available in a variety of colors, allowing you to match them with your existing decor or even combine different colors to create unique patterns and designs on your wall. These panels are not only functional, but they are also visually appealing. Unlike traditional acoustic foam panels that can look out of place in a living room or other non studio environments, these add a touch of style and elegance to your space. You get the best of both worlds: acoustic treatment and a design element that complements your room. It is important to understand what these panels are designed for. They are not intended for soundproofing or blocking outside noise. Their purpose is to control reflections and reduce unwanted frequencies within the room. The hexagonal design adds depth and surface area, helping improve sound absorption compared to flatter acoustic treatments. After installing and testing these panels, I was very happy with the way they look as it was installed in a wall that a traditional acoustic panel wouldn’t look right. The material itself is very acoustic effective. Once installed, they effectively reduce reflections and help create a cleaner, more controlled sounding environment. I also created a video showing my preferred installation method based on many years of experience working with room acoustics. Whether you are renting or you own your space, I do not recommend permanently gluing acoustic panels directly to the wall. When it is time to remove them, you risk damaging the drywall or pulling off paint. A better solution is to mount the panels in a way that allows for easy removal instead of peeling off the built in adhesive, which can become a problem if you ever need to take them down, especially if you are renting a home or commercial space. You can use a small amount of hot glue or Auray's Acoustic Foam Liquid Adhesive on each of the hexagonal corners to secure the panels while keeping the original peel off adhesive intact. This method makes removal much easier. When pressed firmly, the hot glue spreads into a very thin film, approximately 1mm thick. When it is time to remove the panels, simply apply a gentle twisting motion and they come off cleanly, almost as if they were never installed. Even the paint remains undamaged. Overall, the Auray Hexagonal Acoustic Panels are an excellent quality product that delivers real results. They are well built, effective at controlling reflections, and a great option for anyone looking to improve the acoustics of their room while adding a touch of elegance to their space. I’m always looking for simple ways to improve the sound of a room without turning it into a full construction project, and these panels are a really nice solution. I like that they help tame sound reflections while also looking much more polished than traditional foam panels. One of the things that stands out right away is the design. The hexagonal shape gives you a lot of flexibility in how you arrange them, whether you want a clean honeycomb pattern or a more custom layout. They end up looking more like modern wall décor than acoustic treatment, which is a big plus if the room is also used as an office or editing space. The panels themselves feel well made. They’re lightweight but still have a dense, solid feel, and the peel and stick backing makes installation very straightforward. I also appreciate that they can be trimmed for corners or tighter spaces if needed. In my opinion, they help reduce the harsh reflections that can make voice recordings sound echoey, and the room feels a little more controlled and comfortable overall. They’re not meant to completely soundproof a room, but for improving vocal clarity and reducing high frequency reflections, they do a very good job. I'm very happy with these acoustic panels. They are an easy and attractive way to improve the acoustics of a home studio, podcast room, office, or editing space without a lot of effort or expense.
