Customize your four-, five-, or six-string bass guitar for immaculate digital control with the BOSS GK5-KIT-B, a customization kit that makes it easy to install the GK-5B Divided Pickup system onto most bass guitars. Sporting the improved BOSS Serial GK interface and expanded fingertip control, this kit lets you unleash a whole new dimension of expression with your bass.
The Serial GK digital interface offers highly stable digital transmission and supports the latest BOSS synthesizers and V-Guitar products. The kit comes with dedicated wiring for active or passive bass guitars. A 3-way momentary switch can be used for switching between two assignable functions, while the GK knob allows for control of volume or assignable parameters. You can also switch between full GK pickup mode, regular pickup mode, or a mix of the two signals. Sensor spacing can be adjusted, and with a flat, slimline pickup design, this kit accommodates most electric bass guitars. This kit can also be used to drive legacy 13-pin GK devices via the optional GKC-DA GK Converter (sold separately).
For ease of use, the controls can be appropriately positioned during the customization process. Parts include the GK-5B unit itself, a circuit board, the Serial GK connector board/plate, a level pot, and switches, plus an LED, wires, springs, and screws.
A three-way momentary switch activates two controls (S1 and S2) that can be assigned to various functions depending on the GK-compatible device attached. Similarly, the GK knob adjusts the volume level or a variety of assignable parameters. A handy LED lets you know when the GK5-KIT-B is receiving power.
