The DACS Audio Bring It On is a Eurorack ring modulator module designed to go beyond traditional modulation effects, delivering precise signal processing with expanded tonal control. Featuring two fully mixable modulation inputs, exceptionally low carrier breakthrough, and unique switchable shelving EQ controls, Bring It On is equally suited for audio-rate experimentation and subsonic CV processing.
Precision Ring Modulation without Carrier Breakthrough
Bring It On is hand-calibrated using four multi-turn trimmers to achieve better than 65 dB rejection of the carrier input, minimizing unwanted breakthrough for a cleaner ring-modulated result. This allows the module to perform classic ring modulation techniques as intended, including pure octave transposition when feeding the same signal to both the modulation and MUS inputs, as well as gating and pulsing effects using low-frequency modulation sources.
Dual Modulation Inputs for Expanded Sound Design
Unlike conventional ring modulators, Bring It On features two fully mixable modulation inputs, allowing more complex signal interaction and broader sound-shaping possibilities. Both inputs are DC-coupled, making the module compatible with subsonic control voltages as well as audio-rate signals, while the MUS input remains flat to below 5 Hz.
Unique Weight and Edge Tone Shaping
Add or subtract character from your modulated signals with the switchable WEIGHT and EDGE controls, a unique shelving EQ section that boosts or cuts low- and high-frequency content. These controls can be switched in and out as needed, with LED indication showing when the EQ circuit is active. Because of the nature of ring modulation, tonal adjustments can produce creatively unexpected results.
