The DACS Audio Split PCB is a compact, installer-friendly passive interface designed to simplify balanced signal distribution in professional audio systems. Built on more than 25 years of real-world installation experience, DACS created these PCBs to solve the practical routing challenges that off-the-shelf products rarely addressed—either due to unnecessary complexity or high cost. The result is a reliable, purpose-built solution ideal for permanent installs, amp rack distribution, and custom system integration.
Practical, Installer-Focused Design
The Split PCB uses 3-pole 3.5mm Phoenix-type connectors for all audio I/O, allowing each pin of every terminal to be individually checked for easy diagnostics. The removable 3-way terminals make troubleshooting fast, letting installers pull connections in sequence to verify amplifier feeds or isolate routing issues. Power and control connections are handled via 2-pole terminals or a DC socket, ensuring clean separation of audio and power paths-audio 0V is tied only to audio grounds, while power 0V remains independent.
Clean, Flexible Signal Handling
Designed for balanced audio distribution, the Split PCB passively splits a single balanced input into four balanced outputs. For grounding flexibility, incoming or outgoing screens can be lifted as needed, making it simple to adapt the interface to different system grounding schemes. The straightforward "signal in - screen in, signal out - screen out" approach keeps installation consistent and predictable across projects.
Easy Integration Into Racks and Enclosures
Measuring just 48 x 26mm, the PCB can be DIN-rail mounted using optional Hammond DIN clips or housed in metal or plastic enclosures, depending on the installation environment. Its small footprint and modular design make it ideal for mounting behind amp racks or anywhere clean signal distribution is required.
