Lab.Gruppen LMX88 Overview

Designed to be a versatile centerpiece to your professional audio sound system, the Lab Gruppen LMX 88 allows you to easily manage signal flow while receiving signals from multiple consoles, allowing for easy switching or signal mixing for distribution to each component of your system. The LMX 88 provides 8x8 analog I/O, 8x8 AES3 digital I/O, 8x8 Dante networked I/O, and two interfaces of AES50 for up to 24 channels from the up to 96 AES50 channels that can be selected and used as inputs or outputs.

Additionally, the 16 input routers have four fully user-programmable priorities for redundant input operation and provide seamless failover between the inputs. With the introduction of Scenes, you can pre-program any combination of signal flow and easily recall them using the front panel or the Lake Controller Software. Configure the GPI on the rear panel to activate a Scene using a custom switch for seamless console switching.

Benefits
  • Up to 48 audio input channels and 48 output channels directly routable. 16 input routers with 4 failover levels each can be matrix mixed into 8 LAKE MESA or 4 LAKE CONTOUR channels with up to 12 processed outputs
  • Console switching/mixing with Input Scenes. Recall Scene through front panel, Lake Controller, or a custom-made switching device through the internal GPI port
  • High-performance Lake digital audio system processor for unparalleled loudspeaker management and system control
  • Full system control via Lake Controller touch-screen optimized software application
  • Raised Cosine Equalization plus linear phase, classic, FIR crossover and Lake XP capability including dedicated FIR for array optimization and multiband/limiter compressor for ultimate sound-shaping abilities
  • Configurable Lake groups offers simultaneous non-destructive parameter adjustments across all Lake platforms

Signal Flexibility
  • LMX 88 provides the ultimate combination of input/output signal flexibility and fail-safe operation. Audio inputs are accepted via the Dante network and AES50 as well as on connectors for AES3 digital and analog.
  • Simple programming in Lake Controller allows multiple, user-configured “Scene” presets to be stored (input scenarios). In addition, as with all Lake Dual Redundant products Dante Audio switch seamless between Primary and Secondary, and Control can also be used on either Primary or Secondary interface.
  • LMX 88 provides a total of sixteen input routers, which can be independently configured with up to four input failover priority settings. And the output of any of these input routers can go to any of the Modules via the Module Input Mixer, also be patched directly to any analog, AES3, Dante/AES67, or AES50 output—without using any of the valuable Module processing channels.
Dedicated High-Performance Sample Rate Converters per Input
The LMX 88 includes dedicated high-performance, low-latency sample rate converters per input enabling the connection of multiple non-synchronized digital sources to the LMX 88 with the simplicity of analog. If required the LMX 88 does also allow these converters to bypassed per input for synchronous operation.
Dual Redundant Power Supplies
Dual redundant internal power supplies with separate locking AC inlets are provided to let you configure a backup solution with redundant power sources and optionally have a warning when not both mains are powered.
Sound and Gain Control with Lake Controller
Gain Control of your sound with the improved Lake Controller v8 software, featuring significant enhancements to the user interface with improved workflow and overview. Seamlessly control and optimize audio performance like never before. From fine-tuning to comprehensive system management, Lake Controller puts the power in your hands. Elevate the audio experience with precision, flexibility, and ease. Unlock the full potential of the sound system with Lake Processing and Lake Controller.
Shared Inputs by Linking
Two LMX 88 units may be linked to share each other's inputs through the dual 24x24 AES50 ports (8 channels of Analog, 8 channels of AES3 and 8 channels of Dante), providing extremely low-latency digital audio transfer.
