I own several generic NP-F970 batteries used to power an external monitor recorder for longer shoots but they can be quite cumbersome. I was looking for smaller and lighter NP-F style batteries to use for shorter duration B roll, interviews, pickups etc. I noticed despite their smaller size these Tilta NP-F550s have 800 more mAh than average NP-F550s. Like Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin I found myself asking is green the only color these come in? But it is an extremely minor compromise to get the extra run time. Two of these Titla batteries can power a BMD VA 12G HDR monitor recording BRAW for over two hours. More than enough for the smaller and lighter grab and go intended use case.
These lasted longer than the others I have in a 550 size, even against ones that also have a 3500mah capacity, and the price is very reasonable.
