Fargo DTC4500e Overview

Built to withstand large print volumes required by organizations, the DTC4500e Single-Sided ID Card Printer from Fargo comes equipped with a variety of features for secure, easily made identification. This direct-to-card printer uses dye sublimation and thermal transfer technology to produce CR-80 and CR-79 adhesive-backed cards with a 300 dpi resolution. The system allows for fast print speeds of 16 seconds per card in YMCKO and 6 seconds per card in monochrome.

Batch jobs are simplified by the use of a 200-card input hopper and a 30-card output hopper, plus a 100-card reject hopper for getting misprints out of the way. The resin scramble feature renders printed ribbons unreadable for security, and the DTC4500e can create holographic or fluorescent marks for additional protection.

Works with both environmentally friendly ECO refill ribbons
Single-sided lamination for applying over laminates to produce highly secure cards that resist forgery and increase card durability
Rewrite technology is available for reducing ribbon usage
Supports up to 16.7 million colors or 256 shades per pixel
A card cleaning roller is integrated into the ribbon cartridge for easy maintenance
Magnetic encoder and integrated iCLASS and MIFARE/DESFire contactless and contact smart card encoder OMNIKEY 5122
Standard dual-input card hopper increases capacity or management of multiple card types
SmartScreen graphical display provides easy-to-follow prompts for printer status

The Fargo DTC4500e can be purchased in a single-sided or double-sided configuration. The Fargo DTC4500e Single-Sided ID Card Printer (BH #FA4500SSCP • MFR #55000) is only single-sided.
