GVM PD60C RGB Pocket LED Monolight

Add color and creativity to your video and photo productions with the PD60C RGB Pocket LED Monolight from GVM. The PD60C is a portable and versatile light that features full RGB color control and CCT mode with a 2700 to 6800K CCT while allowing you to hold the light in your hand thanks to its included metal handle. More than just an RGB light with a compact design, the PD60C's app control and multiple lighting effects fit a wide range of video and photo projects. The high CRI rating of 97 allows you to capture accurate colors for faithful color results. This 12.5 x 3 x 2.8" monolight weighs only 3.3 lb, making it a portable lighting solution that adapts to various environments. GVM includes a carry bag, so you can easily store and transport the light to your next shoot.

Various Colors
Designed to satisfy a wide range of shooting applications, the PD60C offers full-color RGB lighting with CCT, HSI, RGB, GEL, source, and FX modes. You can select from 360° adjustable colors for custom hue selection to creatively light up your scenes.
GVM Mount
The fixture's GVM proprietary mount lets you mount the included standard reflector with an output of up to 6280 lux at 3.3'.
16 Creative Effects
The PD60C features creative effects for lighting simulations, including bad bulb, cop car, lightning, candle, paparazzi, SOS, welding, party, TV, CCT loop, pulsing, explosion, fireworks, hue loop, ambulance, and disco.
12 Different Light Sources
If you need to reproduce a specific light source, the PD60C allows for a quick selection of tungsten, HMI 5600, HMI 6000, studio lamps, sodium lamp, halogen, arc lamp, candle, sunset/sunrise, daylight, overcast sky, or CFL cool white.
Control Methods
  • An integrated screen offers a simple display, while a red knob provides onboard control of the light.
  • Use the GVM app to control the PD60C from a distance using iOS or Android smartphones.
  • Bluetooth mesh networking is available for group control of GVM devices.
Efficient Heat Dissipation
If the shooting environment requires silence, the fixture can be set to a convenient silent mode. The PD60C efficiently dissipates heat with integrated heat sinks and a fan, so you don't have to worry about noise interfering with your production. The fan operates in three modes: smart, high-speed, and silent.
AC Power
The PD60C has an integrated, rechargeable battery. GVM includes a USB-C cable, but the fixture also works with an optional 100W power adapter that supports PD fast charging.
Highly Portable Handgrip
The included aluminum handle provides comfortable handheld shooting. You can also mount the light on a separately available light stand. The light stand holder conveniently rotates 90° to enable different angles.

Powerhouse light with some really annoying flaws

As a battery powered light source: awesome. love the output, love the color range, love the quality of the whites. Being a monolight style, I can mix this into situations where I was using studio monolights and get similar results without being restricted by cables. I'm also seeing some different applications where a 4x5 or 12x12 panel just won't fit out on set, but I can still get real punch. I've had some major issues with GVM lights in the past, but the offerings are definitely improving. Are they perfect? Definitely not, but I do see them spending time with the R&D to be competitive with other manufacturers. Some of my complains here: - The screw-handle is really well designed and offers the promise of SO MANY different mounting orientations. But most of them flop because the screw used for the pivot is barely strong enough to hold the weight of the light. Want to add any sort of modifier to the front? Not a chance that's staying. I've busted my knuckles a couple times now holding the light. Would love to replace it with a pinned monitor tilt mount or something similar, but the indexing pin doesn't line up, so the whole light just spins itself loose under its own weight. Just adding ridges in the hinge would allow you to set the angle (cheap brands like Godox and Neewer do this). - The most secure way to actually use the light, on a stand, with a modifier, is the included full size Bowens adapter. Great tool, instant softbox adaption for the light. But the cheap plastic it's made from feels like it'll give way at any second. - I know this is in the listing, but the mini Bowens mount on this light is not the same mini Bowens I have for a half dozen other small monopoint lights. It sure looks like it should fit, but nope, GVM really wants you to use their overpriced accessory kit. On the positive side, I had an issue with mine (self inflicted) and reached out to GVM for information on repair or replacement. I was contacted immediately, a shipping label was provided for my damaged unit, and I had a brand new light within days. GVM wins major points from me in terms of customer support. So again, the light isn't perfect but GVM is definitely putting effort into major improvements into their products and service.
