Featuring innovative camera technology and a dust-protected, fully sealed camera box holding CCD systems that use a patented stitching procedure, it delivers a scanner resolution up to 1200 dpi. This is a true standalone system, capable of scanning directly to FTP servers, hot folders, USB drives, and cloud applications on the internet as well as copying to printers directly, without the need for an extra PC.
The WideTEK 48 CCD scanner gently scans with special transport rollers that serve as pressure points ensuring safe document transport, which is critical for historical and fragile documents. The unique background drum does not touch the glass plate at any time, avoiding scratches and document skews. To achieve extra contrast on sepias and film-based documents, the standard black drum can be easily exchanged with a white drum, with no tools required. This CCD device is ideal for large format scanning in offices or for production service providers scanning in high volumes.
