7Artisans 6mm f/2 Fisheye Overview

This 7Artisans 6mm f/2 Fisheye Lens is built for APS-C sensors and delivers a 220° angle of view, producing dramatic fisheye distortion and fully immersive panoramic compositions. Designed as a manual-focus prime, it offers precise, responsive control for users who prefer hands-on operation.

Low-Light Performance & Smooth Bokeh
Its bright f/2 maximum aperture enables reliable low-light performance and creative depth-of-field manipulation, while the adjustable f/16 minimum aperture supports greater depth and starburst effects when stepping down. A nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth, rounded bokeh.
10 Elements in 8 Groups
The optical design features 10 elements in 8 groups, including two extra-low dispersion elements and two high-refractive elements, which help suppress chromatic aberration and maintain sharpness across the frame.
Suitable for Close-Ups
The lens focuses exceptionally close, with a 3.9" minimum focusing distance, making it ideal for exaggerated close-ups and experimental perspective work.

7Artisans 6mm f/2 Fisheye Reviews

A great toy for the price

I picked this up because a 220 degree diagonal fisheye was intriguing, especially at this low price. Overall I am very satisfied. Mechanically the lens is well constructed and feels solid. Optical performance is a mixed bag. It is quite sharp in the center, but the extreme edges are soft, getting better from f4 on but never anywhere near as good as the center. In addition there is heavy TCA at the corners, which is fairly easy to clean up in Photoshop. However these issues are bearable, especially given the price and extremity of this fun little lens.

focus problems

Great build, heavy weight, which is good, but i can not get it to focus. With the wide depth of field, one would think you could set it at infinity or even 1' and shoot away all day.....shooting indoors, outdoors on a tripod, everything is close but no cigar.....is anyone else having this problem? Could I have received a bad copy?

The 7Artisans 6mm f/2 Fisheye Lens is only measured for crop sensor cameras. When used on a full frame camera it would likely have vignetting and/or black edges.
