Enjoy the warm and funky sound of a vintage '70s classic with Steinberg Amped Elektra, a virtual instrument plug-in based on the Hohner Electra electric piano. Ideal for composing in soul, funk, and jazz styles, this plug-in provides the classic DI sound of the Electra with three optional vintage amp IRs from the '50s to the '70s.
Amped Elektra features 43 beautifully detailed presets to spark your creativity. The plug-in offers independent controls for the DI signal and three individual amps. The plug-in also comes with chord pads that are designed to perfectly match the sound of each preset. You can adjust the bark of the electric piano, the release, and pedal noise amount, along with a selectable range extension. You can also sweeten your sound with FX, and the plug-in features specially selected gear with customized impulse responses for reverb and chorus sounds that imbue your signals with true vintage character. Amped Elektra is available in VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in formats and supports macOS and Windows computers.
It is an insider tip and is now experiencing its rebirth through the Amped Elektra. The Electra’s DI signal was not only recorded at the YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! Studios in Hamburg, but was also sent through three vintage tube amps, giving the Amped Elektra an even more soulful, warm, and characterful sound.
- The Tower: an extremely rare vintage tube amp from the '50s with an incredibly voluminous, warm sound, recorded with a Sennheiser MD 441
- Ampeg V4 (The Tubes): the '70s tube-powered Ampeg V4, recorded with a Neumann small-diaphragm tube microphone
- Fender Twin Reverb (The Twins): an original Fender Twin Reverb from the '70s, with a crispy sound recorded with a Neumann small-diaphragm tube microphone
