The Compact 10-in-1 Multi Tool from Vello combines ten stainless steel tools into a compact, pocket-sized handle that is perfect for quick adjustments or repairs to photo and video gear around the studio or on location. This pocket-sized accessory is great for working with cameras and accessories on your rig that need quick adjustments or tweaks. Its lightweight construction features two locking positions for each tool that will provide plenty of torque. It keeps a selection of three screwdrivers, six hex wrenches, and a T10 Torx wrench right at your fingertips. The large slotted screwdriver can be used for attaching QR plates and removing bushings from tripod heads. The small slotted screwdriver can be used for set screws. Use the hex wrenches to adjust tripod leg lock tension and tighten set screws. This handy tool folds up to a compact 2.9" length that fits in your pants, coat, or shirt pocket so it is always handy.

10-In-1 Tool

Two Locking Positions
This multitool features a spring-loaded latching mechanism that locks each tool into 90° and 180° positions. Use each tool at a 90° angle if you need plenty of torque, or at 180° for more precision.

Not as versatile as the Smallrig but does have a torx bit

I keep these tools in my field kit so that I have the necessary allen, torx, etc., drivers available rather than carrying (and dropping) all of the different allen keys, etc., as used on supports, keeping arca-swiss plates secure, etc. This Vello BH# VEWWCOMPACT is not as versatile for my use as the SmallRig Universal Folding Multi-Tool for Videographers BH #SMTC2713 . I have both in service. However, the Vello does have a torx bit that fits some Gitzo. Both the Vello and Smallrig seem well made -- however, only use in service will reveal wear defects.

An absolute must!

First of all, for the cost of this multi tool it's worth getting a few that can live in separate bags or cases for ease. I love this multitool for a few reasons... - Each tool can lock into position - Several wrench sizes + other options - Small and light weight - Very affordable! At first I thought i'd remove the small chain that it comes with, but it occurred to me that every one of my ThankTank bags has a key holder strap that I never use and this multi tool can live on the key strap. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
