From Manufacturer
From light breakup to heavy rock, the DigiTech DOD Badder Monkey is an overdrive pedal that lets you go ape on your tone, offering a new Barrel knob that shifts and blends three OD circuits: Behaved, Bad (the original Bad Monkey circuit), and Badder. Combined with the toggle switch, you can make these circuits go out of phase or use Troop mode to activate all three at once.
Further controls include Bananas (gain), Curiosity (output level), and a single-knob two-band EQ control (Grunt to Screech). A true bypass switch ensures you maintain pristine tone even when the pedal is deactivated. All circuitry is fully analog, just like the original Bad Monkey. Unlike the original pedal, this version supports modern 9V power input. The Badder Monkey ships with the unique StagePlate, a reversible bottom plate that lets you choose between a Skid surface, ideal for maintaining a solid grip on normal surfaces, and a Hook side, which is ideal for attaching to hook-and-loop fastener surfaces commonly found on pedalboards.
- Skid Pad Side: The pedal ships with the new two-sided StagePlate installed, with a rubber skid pad side exposed when shipped. This provides stable grip on most surfaces when activating the footswitch.
- Hook Side: The StagePlate can be flipped over to expose the opposite side which has a preinstalled hook pad intended to mate with hook-and-loop fastener material to secure the pedal to a pedalboard. To flip the StagePlate to the hook side, simply remove the four StagePlatescrews, flip the StagePlate over, then reinstall the screws.
